The new year

Christmas is now over. The decorations are getting put up. The Christmas music is turned off. And we all go back to "Normal" But, I hope that everyone had a wonderful, happy, joyous, Christ filled, and safe Christmas.

Tomorrow is the last day of 2013 and Wednesday is the first day of 2014. We will look back at the events of the past year. We will remember the friends we made and the friends we lost. We will remember the good times, the bad times,the sad times and the glad times. But, I don't need to tell you this. Your already doing it.
No matter how bad or good 2013 was for you I hope that 2014 will be even better. Don't dwell on the unaccomplished things of this past year but on the goals of this year to come. Be a better person this year than what you were last year. Become better at a skill. Become more knowledgeable. Read more books. Write more Essays. Become more organized. Don't become too stressed. Don't forget the import things of life. Try new foods. Try new music. Travel. Hike. Meet new people. Become more hospitable. Be a blessing to people around you. Pray everyday. Say "I love you". Think 'What can I do for others." Be a better servant. Be happier. Laugh more. Sing a lot more.  Do what ever it takes to make 2014 the best year yet.

Happy New Year!

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”

Write it on your heart
that every day is the best day in the year.

He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day

who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety.

Finish every day and be done with it.

You have done what you could.

Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in.

Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day;

begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit

to be cumbered with your old nonsense.

This new day is too dear,

with its hopes and invitations,

to waste a moment on the yesterdays.”
